Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four Butterflies by Herman Henstenburgh was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2011. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,476.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herman Henstenburgh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A King Bird Of Paradise (Cicinnurius Regius) And A Spiderhunter (Arachnothera) in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 54,320.09).

Die Arbeit Four Butterflies von Herman Henstenburgh kam im Juli 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.476,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herman Henstenburgh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A King Bird Of Paradise (Cicinnurius Regius) And A Spiderhunter (Arachnothera) im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 54.320,09).
