In the Important Old Master Drawings auction, the work A spray of flowers, including a tulip, roses, poppies, morning glory, a hollyhock and ivy attached to a nail, with a snail and ants sold for USD 12,650.00 (€ 12,965.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herman Henstenburgh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A King Bird Of Paradise (Cicinnurius Regius) And A Spiderhunter (Arachnothera) in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 54,320.09).
