Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Random Structures: An Essay Collages: V71-08E: Ia; V71-27: Ib; V71-11E: Ii; V71-12E:Iii; V71-13E: Iv; V71-17E: V; V71-16E: Vi; V71-26: Vii by Herman de Vries was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2019. The price achieved of EUR 6,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman de Vries achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Random Objectiviation. "V 70 - 25 B" in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 163,250.00 (€ 182,120.55).

Die Arbeit Random Structures: An Essay Collages: V71-08E: Ia; V71-27: Ib; V71-11E: Ii; V71-12E:Iii; V71-13E: Iv; V71-17E: V; V71-16E: Vi; V71-26: Vii von Herman de Vries kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herman de Vries erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Random Objectiviation. "V 70 - 25 B" im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.250,00 (€ 182.120,55).
