Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Herman Brood was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2013. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,375.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herman Brood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Formula 1, which sold at auction in January 2005 for EUR 4,800.00.

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Herman Brood kam im März 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.375,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Herman Brood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Formula 1 beobachtet, die im Januar 2005 für EUR 4.800,00 versteigert wurde.
