The work Football by Herman Brood was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,346.00 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Herman Brood; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Formula 1 sold at auction in January 2005 with the realized price of EUR 4,800.00.

Die Arbeit Football von Herman Brood wurde im Juni 2004 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.346,00 und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Herman Brood; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Formula 1 im Januar 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 4.800,00.
