Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Herfst buiten (Kasteel Oost) by Herman Berserik was sold in the Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2011. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,000.00 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herman Berserik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Uitzicht uit atelier - View from the studio, which sold at auction in December 2001 for EUR 19,975.00.

Die Arbeit Herfst buiten (Kasteel Oost) von Herman Berserik wurde im September 2011 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.000,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Herman Berserik mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Uitzicht uit atelier - View from the studio beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für EUR 19.975,00 versteigert wurde.
