The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,346.00 (€ 5,239.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Herbert Menzies Marshall have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2002 the work The Houses of Parliament, from across the Thames was auctioned for GBP 6,572.50 (€ 10,292.62).
