Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Mountain Mists by Herbert James Draper was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in London in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 56,500.00 (€ 66,987.11). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert James Draper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Mountain Mists in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,010,000.00 (€ 1,739,958.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Mountain Mists von Herbert James Draper wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 56.500,00 (€ 66.987,11) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert James Draper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Mountain Mists im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.010.000,00 (€ 1.739.958,45).
