Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian & Edwardian Art, which included the work Wallerbrook Bridge, Dartmoor by Herbert Arnould Olivier. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,438.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert Arnould Olivier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer Is Icumen In in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 331,250.00 (€ 375,869.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wallerbrook Bridge, Dartmoor von Herbert Arnould Olivier zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.438,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert Arnould Olivier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer Is Icumen In im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 331.250,00 (€ 375.869,46).
