In May 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Studio Lunch by Henry Siddons Mowbray. The »bidding war« ended at USD 288,000.00 (€ 214,078.64), 60% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Studio Lunch the most expensive artwork by Henry Siddons Mowbray that we have observed at auctions so far.
