In July 2019 Christies in London held the auction British & European Art: Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Vanity by Henry Ryland. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,000.00 (€ 21,958.67), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Ryland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The guarded flame, which sold at auction in July last year for GBP 63,000.00 (€ 75,233.19).

Im Juli 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & European Art: Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vanity von Henry Ryland zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 21.958,67) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Ryland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The guarded flame beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für GBP 63.000,00 (€ 75.233,19) versteigert wurde.
