Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Christies in London held the auction Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work A Wonder Book of Ancient Greece by Henry Ryland. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,007.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Ryland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The guarded flame in July last year with an auction result of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 75,233.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Wonder Book of Ancient Greece von Henry Ryland zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.007,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Ryland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The guarded flame im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 63.000,00 (€ 75.233,19).
