Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry R. Hall could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Scottish Borderers, Near Carlisle, Cumberland; And Highland Cattle, Loch Maree, Sunset changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 673.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry R. Hall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Highland cattle, Loch Ness, which sold at auction in March 2004 for GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,325.45).
