This artwork by Henry Nelson O'Neil achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2007. In the Victorian & Edwardian auction, the work Head Of An Eastern Beauty sold for GBP 14,900.00 (€ 20,246.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Nelson O'Neil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Home Again, 1858 in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 553,750.00 (€ 877,761.92).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Nelson O'Neil erzielte im Dezember 2007 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian & Edwardian wurde die Arbeit Head Of An Eastern Beauty für GBP 14.900,00 (€ 20.246,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Nelson O'Neil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Home Again, 1858 im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 553.750,00 (€ 877.761,92).
