A top price for Henry Meynell Rheam - as previously expected
In May 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian & Edwardian Art, which included the work Once Upon A Time (Snow White) by Henry Meynell Rheam. The price achieved of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 42,595.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Once Upon A Time (Snow White) is the most expensive artwork by Henry Meynell Rheam that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Once Upon A Time (Snow White) von Henry Meynell Rheam zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 42.595,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Once Upon A Time (Snow White) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Henry Meynell Rheam, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
