Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Martin Gasser could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art Online auction, the work Beach Glare changed hands for USD 2,600.00 (€ 2,294.39) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Martin Gasser have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Saturday Shoppers in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,028.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Martin Gasser konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Beach Glare für USD 2.600,00 (€ 2.294,39) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Martin Gasser auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Saturday Shoppers im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.028,60).
