Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On The Thames Near Pangbourne by Henry John Kinnaird was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in June 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 760.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry John Kinnaird have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Near Evesham On The Avon, Warwickshire; And View On The Ouse, Sussex (Illustrated) in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,583.67).
