Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work An old mill in Suffolk by Henry John Kinnaird. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,408.87). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry John Kinnaird - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Near Evesham On The Avon, Warwickshire; And View On The Ouse, Sussex (Illustrated), which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,583.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit An old mill in Suffolk von Henry John Kinnaird zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.408,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry John Kinnaird mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View Near Evesham On The Avon, Warwickshire; And View On The Ouse, Sussex (Illustrated) beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.583,67) versteigert wurde.
