This artwork by Henry James Holding achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2006. In the The Scottish Sale auction, the work Loch Fyne, Herring Boats At Ardrosson sold for GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,253.04) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry James Holding; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The logging wagon sold at auction in June 2004 with the realized price of GBP 8,962.50 (€ 13,338.88).
