Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Duet, Portraits Of Alexandra, Daughter Of Rev. G. Kitchin And Winifrid, Daughter Of The Painter by Henry James Holiday was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 16,974.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry James Holiday - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sara, belle d'indolence, which sold at auction in December 2020 for GBP 55,000.00 (€ 61,439.90).

Die Arbeit The Duet, Portraits Of Alexandra, Daughter Of Rev. G. Kitchin And Winifrid, Daughter Of The Painter von Henry James Holiday kam im Dezember 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 16.974,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry James Holiday mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sara, belle d'indolence beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für GBP 55.000,00 (€ 61.439,90) versteigert wurde.
