Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the Avon by Henry Hillier Parker was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 4,481.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry Hillier Parker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The midday rest in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 12,547.50 (€ 19,408.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit On the Avon von Henry Hillier Parker kam im September 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 4.481,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Hillier Parker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The midday rest im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.547,50 (€ 19.408,14).
