Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A Sussex cornfield by Henry Hillier Parker. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,048.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Hillier Parker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The midday rest in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 12,547.50 (€ 19,408.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Sussex cornfield von Henry Hillier Parker zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.048,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Hillier Parker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The midday rest im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.547,50 (€ 19.408,14).
