Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Near Broxbourne, Hertfordshire; and Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire by Henry Hillier Parker was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,466.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Hillier Parker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The midday rest, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 12,547.50 (€ 19,408.14).
