Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work British Cattle Grazing On The Thames by Henry Hillier Parker. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,461.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry Hillier Parker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The midday rest in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 12,547.50 (€ 19,408.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit British Cattle Grazing On The Thames von Henry Hillier Parker zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.461,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Hillier Parker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The midday rest im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.547,50 (€ 19.408,14).
