Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs, which included the work Ears Pricked, Waiting For Mistress by Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,782.04), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hunting Alphabet A Stands for ATHERSTONE Ladies are few distinguished by wearing the collar of blue. B Stands for BOOT with the Cream coloured top, the pride and the glory of many a Fop. C Stands for CUBBING when foxes abound and they rattl in December 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.

Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ears Pricked, Waiting For Mistress von Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.782,04) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas erzielen.
