Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Fiddle; And A Companion Painting by Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2013, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 3,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,119.53). Admittedly, works by Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Hunting Alphabet A Stands for ATHERSTONE Ladies are few distinguished by wearing the collar of blue. B Stands for BOOT with the Cream coloured top, the pride and the glory of many a Fop. C Stands for CUBBING when foxes abound and they rattl in December 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.0
The Hunting Alphabet A Stands for ATHERSTONE Ladies are few distinguished by wearing the collar of blue. B Stands for BOOT with the Cream coloured top, the pride and the glory of many a Fop. C Stands for CUBBING when foxes abound and they rattl im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 54.557,85).
