Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2009 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Art, which included the work Isinglass with Tommy Loates up, on a race course by Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,818.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hunting Alphabet A Stands for ATHERSTONE Ladies are few distinguished by wearing the collar of blue. B Stands for BOOT with the Cream coloured top, the pride and the glory of many a Fop. C Stands for CUBBING when foxes abound and they rattl in December 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.

Im Februar 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Isinglass with Tommy Loates up, on a race course von Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.818,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas erzielen.
