Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2004 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work Brampton, a chestnut hunter by Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas. The price achieved of GBP 657.25 (€ 978.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hunting Alphabet A Stands for ATHERSTONE Ladies are few distinguished by wearing the collar of blue. B Stands for BOOT with the Cream coloured top, the pride and the glory of many a Fop. C Stands for CUBBING when foxes abound and they rattl in December 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.

Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brampton, a chestnut hunter von Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 657,25 (€ 978,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas erzielen.
