Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Through The Window by Henry Cliffe for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,413.01). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art at Sothebys in Olympia and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Cliffe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Green And Red in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,038.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Through The Window von Henry Cliffe für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.413,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art bei Sothebys in Olympia erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Cliffe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Green And Red im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.800,00 (€ 16.038,34).
