This artwork by Henry Chalfant achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in October 2019. In the Outsider(s) auction, the work Lee, Futura, Dondi - 2004 sold for EUR 2,710.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Chalfant have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Subway Portfolio in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,198.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Chalfant erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Outsider(s) wurde die Arbeit Lee, Futura, Dondi - 2004 für EUR 2.710,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Chalfant auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Subway Portfolio im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.198,71).
