In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work A Dark Brown Horse In A Landscape by Henry Bernard Chalon. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,446.19) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Bernard Chalon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Reverend George Bower, The Reverend John Bower, Robert Bower of Welham And Robert Bower Junior At The Steps of Welham Hall, Yorkshire in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 66,561.15).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.446,19) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00.
