In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work A Spaniel In A Landscape by Henry Bernard Chalon. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 576.00 (€ 855.38), 15% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Bernard Chalon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Reverend George Bower, The Reverend John Bower, Robert Bower of Welham And Robert Bower Junior At The Steps of Welham Hall, Yorkshire in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 66,561.15).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 576,00 (€ 855,38) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Bernard Chalon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Reverend George Bower, The Reverend John Bower, Robert Bower of Welham And Robert Bower Junior At The Steps of Welham Hall, Yorkshire im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.600,00 (€ 66.561,15).
