Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Floral Still Life by Henriette Wyeth was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,030.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henriette Wyeth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wildflower Still Life, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,579.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Floral Still Life von Henriette Wyeth kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.030,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Henriette Wyeth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wildflower Still Life beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.579,25) versteigert wurde.
