Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of David Rogers, Age 2 by Henriette Wyeth was auctioned at Christies in Beverly Hills in November 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,730.00 (€ 12,617.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henriette Wyeth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wildflower Still Life, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,579.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of David Rogers, Age 2 von Henriette Wyeth kam im November 2004 bei Christies in Beverly Hills zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.730,00 (€ 12.617,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Henriette Wyeth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wildflower Still Life beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.579,25) versteigert wurde.
