This artwork by Henrietta Berk achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June 2020. In the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction, the work Summer Afternoon, 1964-67 sold for USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,414.21) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henrietta Berk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Table, which sold at auction in August 2020 for USD 23,825.00 (€ 19,960.62).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Henrietta Berk erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Summer Afternoon, 1964-67 für USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.414,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henrietta Berk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Table beobachtet, die im August 2020 für USD 23.825,00 (€ 19.960,62) versteigert wurde.
