Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work Mt. Diablo, circa 1963-64 by Henrietta Berk. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,260.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henrietta Berk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Table, which sold at auction in August 2020 for USD 23,825.00 (€ 19,960.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mt. Diablo, circa 1963-64 von Henrietta Berk zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.650,00 (€ 7.260,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henrietta Berk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Table beobachtet, die im August 2020 für USD 23.825,00 (€ 19.960,62) versteigert wurde.
