Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Country Lights, circa 1965-1967 by Henrietta Berk was sold in the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 6,050.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henrietta Berk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Table, which sold at auction in August 2020 for USD 23,825.00 (€ 19,960.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Country Lights, circa 1965-1967 von Henrietta Berk wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 6.050,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Henrietta Berk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Table beobachtet, die im August 2020 für USD 23.825,00 (€ 19.960,62) versteigert wurde.
