Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Sultan Et Son Escorte by Henri Rousseau was sold in the Moroccan Spirit: 1874-2014 auction at Artcurial in November 2014. It changed hands for a price of EUR 39,000.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Rousseau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Flamants in May this year with an auction result of USD 43,535,000.00 (€ 40,862,586.82).

Die Arbeit Le Sultan Et Son Escorte von Henri Rousseau wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion Moroccan Spirit: 1874-2014 bei Artcurial versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 39.000,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Rousseau erzielen.
