The result of EUR 25,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Rousseau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Flamants in May this year with an auction result of USD 43,535,000.00 (€ 40,862,586.82).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 25.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Rousseau erzielen.
