Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2015 Artcurial held the auction Regard sur l’Algérie, which included the work Fauconnier by Henri Rousseau. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,940.00 24% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Rousseau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Flamants in May this year with an auction result of USD 43,535,000.00 (€ 40,862,586.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2015 führte Artcurial die Auktion Regard sur l’Algérie durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fauconnier von Henri Rousseau zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.940,00 und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Rousseau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Flamants im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.535.000,00 (€ 40.862.586,82).
