Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Prairie ensoleillée aux peupliers by Henri Martin was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Bonhams in London in October last year. The price achieved of GBP 63,300.00 (€ 73,743.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Joie De Vivre in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,706,500.00 (€ 1,380,216.76).
