Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction European Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Deux Paysans 28 1/2 x 21 1/4 in. (72.5 x 54.0 cm) framed 36 3/4 x 29 3/8 x 3 1/4 in. by Henri Martin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,675.00 (€ 19,936.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Joie De Vivre in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,706,500.00 (€ 1,380,216.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion European Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deux Paysans 28 1/2 x 21 1/4 in. (72.5 x 54.0 cm) framed 36 3/4 x 29 3/8 x 3 1/4 in. von Henri Martin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.675,00 (€ 19.936,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Joie De Vivre im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.706.500,00 (€ 1.380.216,76).
