Half-titles, 36 folding plates and engraved vignette on preface to vol. I. (A few creases, occasional light soiling and a few spots.) Contemporary calf, red edges (some scuffing, extremities rubbed, vol. I rebacked preserving old labels with armorial crest, vol. II joints split). Provenance: unidentified library ticket.

Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Unknown by Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau for GBP 437.50 (€ 543.95). This price was achieved in the auction Travel, Science and Natural History at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Traité des arbres fruitiers, 1808-1835, 6 volumes in May last year with an auction result of GBP 94,500.00 (€ 111,170.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Unknown von Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau für GBP 437,50 (€ 543,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Travel, Science and Natural History bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Traité des arbres fruitiers, 1808-1835, 6 volumes im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.500,00 (€ 111.170,25).
