It achieved a price of USD 840.00 (€ 712.47), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Traité des arbres fruitiers, 1808-1835, 6 volumes in May last year with an auction result of GBP 94,500.00 (€ 111,170.25).

Die Arbeit Fruit Studies: Four Plates von Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau wurde im November 2005 in der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 840,00 (€ 712,47) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Traité des arbres fruitiers, 1808-1835, 6 volumes im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.500,00 (€ 111.170,25).
