Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2012. The price achieved of GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,321.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Traité des arbres fruitiers, 1808-1835, 6 volumes in May last year with an auction result of GBP 94,500.00 (€ 111,170.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau kam im Oktober 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.062,50 (€ 1.321,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Louis Duhamel du Monceau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Traité des arbres fruitiers, 1808-1835, 6 volumes im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.500,00 (€ 111.170,25).
