Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme agenouillée by Henri Laurens was sold in the Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,234.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Laurens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Boxeur in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 2,055,000.00 (€ 2,292,195.94).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.234,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Laurens erzielen.
