This price was achieved in the auction Intérieurs at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henri Lachièze-Rey; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Baigneurs à Nice sold at auction in July 2020 with the realized price of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,942.80).
