Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A River Landscape With A Small Village by Henri-Joseph van Blarenberghe was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2017. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,650.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri-Joseph van Blarenberghe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Views Of The Chateau De Bercy, Paris in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,342.33).
