In May 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work French nu À La Psyche by Henri Gervex. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,799.93) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Gervex achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French rolla in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,385,000.00 (€ 1,807,278.85).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit French nu À La Psyche von Henri Gervex zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.799,93) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Gervex erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French rolla im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.385.000,00 (€ 1.807.278,85).
