A top price for Henri Gervex
This artwork by Henri Gervex achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2016. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work French rolla sold for GBP 1,385,000.00 (€ 1,807,278.85) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600,000.00. This high result makes French rolla the most expensive artwork by Henri Gervex that we have observed at auctions so far.
